Four Gifts delivers in Princess Heiligbrodt Racing Stable's FOUR GIFTS (Even the Score) collared even-money favorite C. S. Silk (Medaglia d'Oro) in deep stretch and drew off to a 2 1/4-length score in the $500,000 Delta Princess S. (G3) on Friday night. An allowance winner in her previous start at Churchill Downs, the Steve-Asmussen-trained juvenile filly captured her stakes debut and completed a mile over the fast Delta Downs track in 1:38 3/5 with Shaun Bridgmohan. The Kentucky-bred has now earned $352,779 from a 5-3-0-1 record. Seacrettina (Sea of Secrets) led the way early, establishing splits in :22 3/5, :47 and 1:12 2/5 as Four Gifts rated a few lengths back in fourth, and C. S. Silk got the jump on her rival when the pacesetter weakened at the top of the stretch, surging to the fore while passing the six-furlong mark in 1:12 2/5. Four Gifts moved up along the inside on the far turn and made her bid three wide into the stretch. She powered past the runner-up in the final furlong to win in convincing fashion. Sent off the 7-1 fourth choice in the nine-horse field, Four Gifts rewarded backers with payouts of $16.60, $5.80 and $5.20. C. S. Silk returned $2.80 and $2.40 after easily holding the place, 2 3/4 lengths better than 43-1 outsider Smokin Again (Smoke Glacken), who paid $7.40 for the show. The exacta was worth $44.60, the trifecta $490.60 and the 2-6-5-8 superfecta, with the 7-1 Loveyou Everybody (Five Star Day) in fourth, totaled $2,015.80. Just Jenda (Menifee), Secrettina, Phoenician Moon (Malibu Moon), Southern Yankee (Yankee Gentleman) and Garter Belt (Anasheed) rounded out the order of finish. Livin Lovin (Birdstone) was scratched after a chip was discovered in her left ankle Friday morning. Bred by Millennium Farms, Four Gifts sold for $72,000 as a weanling at the 2006 Keeneland November sale and commanded a $125,000 winning bid the following year at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July sale. The first winner out of the winning Service Stripe mare Agiftfromservice, the gray lass counts a 2008 colt as a full brother. Her dam is a full sister to 2001 Spinaway S. (G1) victress Cashier's Dream.
