Breeders' Cup releases race schedule, wagering for Championships Gates at Santa Anita open to the public at 9 a.m. (PST) on Friday and 8 a.m. on Saturday for the 26th Breeders' Cup World Championships. Championship Friday will be a nine-race program, beginning at 2:15 p.m. (EST) (11:15 a.m. [PST]), with two Santa Anita allowance races followed by six Breeders' Cup races. ESPN2 will provide coverage from 3-7 p.m. on Friday's program, which concludes with the Las Palmas H. (G2). Championship Saturday features eight Breeders' Cup races on a 10-race card, starting with the Damascus S. at 1:05 p.m. (10:05 a.m. [PST]). ABC will cover the races from 1:30-3:30 p.m., then ESPN will take over for the remainder of the Breeders' Cup card from 3:30-7 p.m. Post time for the Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) will be 6:45 p.m. (3:45 p.m. [PST]). The Oak Tree Derby (G2) will follow the Classic. There will be win, place, show, exacta, trifecta and superfecta wagering on each race, and a super high five on the Ladies' Classic (G1) and the Classic. In addition, daily double wagering will be offered on the Ladies' Classic to the next day's Classic. There will be Pick 3 betting on the 1ST through 7TH races on Friday, and 1ST through 8TH races on Saturday. There will be Pick 4 betting on races 1, 5 and 6 on Friday, and 2, 6 and 7 on Saturday. Pick Six betting will start with the 3RD race on Friday and 4TH race on Saturday, so that only Breeders' Cup races are included. Head-to-head wagering on which rider will win the most Breeders' Cup races starts in Friday's 3RD race, the Marathon.
