Charles Town cancels Sunday afternoon card

Due to the anticipated heat in the region and temperatures in the area expected to reach the mid to upper 90s, Charles Town has canceled its afternoon card for Sunday. First post for the card was scheduled for 1 p.m. (EDT).

Saturday evening's Sprint Festival card will get underway at the special event post time of 6 p.m. Following Saturday night's action, Charles Town, which conducts live racing in the evening on weekdays and Saturday, will resume racing as scheduled this upcoming Thursday. Post time for the first race on Thursday's card will be the standard 7:15 p.m. start time for Charles Town's night time programs.
