Castille Jr. at Tuesday's Fasig-Tipton Texas Two-Year-Old in Training Sale in Grand Prairie, Texas. Named AKIANE, the chestnut lass was consigned by Asmussen Horse Center, agent. Cataloged as Hip No. 148, the sale topper is a half-sister to Cocodrie S. winner Bandido (Time Bandit), who has won five of seven starts and earned $123,530. She is out of the winning Marquetry mare Win for Stacy, who is a half-sister to stakes winners He's Dynamite (Pancho Villa) and Timeintown (Cape Town). Akiane previously sold for $60,000 at the 2007 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic October Yearling Sale. At the under tack show on Sunday, she breezed one furlong in :10 3/5. A filly by Trippi sold for $117,000 to Christopher G. Bardasian. Named TRIPPIN, she was consigned by Steephollow Farm, agent for Hank Bird. The bay filly is a half-sister to 2000 Interborough H. She is out of Go Again Girl (Broad Brush), a full sister to multiple stakes winner and Grade 3-placed Looming. She was cataloged as Hip 249. During the one-day auction, 168 horses sold for $2,883,000, an 11.6 percent decrease compared to a year ago when 183 horses changed hands for $3,263,200.
