OBS Spring Sale begins The Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's 2008 Spring Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training begins a four-day run on Monday. There are 1,381 two-year-olds cataloged for the sale, which can be viewed live via the OBS website at obssales.com. Each session starts at 10:30 a.m. (EDT). The Spring Sale is scheduled to run through Thursday, according to the following schedule: Hip Nos. 1-346 sell on Monday; Hips 347-690 will go through the ring on Tuesday; Hips 691-1036 will get their turn on Wednesday; and the concluding session will feature Hips 1037-1381. The OBS Spring Sale has produced 11 millionaires to date, and 19 stakes winners have emerged from last year's sale. They include WICKED STYLE (Macho Uno), winner of Keeneland's Breeders' Futurity (G1) and the Arlington-Washington Futurity (G3), and OFFICER CHERRIE (Officer), winner of Woodbine's Mazarine S. (Can-G3). The most recent graded winner from the 2007 sale is Aurora Springs Stable's AWESOME CHIC (Awesome Again), an emphatic 4 1/2- length winner of the $200,000 Florida Oaks (G3) at Tampa Bay Downs and a Kentucky Oaks (G1) hopeful. Four under tack shows were held last week. All workouts were recorded and can be viewed at obssales.com and at the sales grounds.
