Cruisinforabruisen brings $370,000 CRUISINFORABRUISEN (Harlan's Holiday) sold for the top price of $370,000 to Padua Stables at Thursday's final session of the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's Spring Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training. Cataloged as Hip No. 1319, the session topper was consigned by Another Episode Farm, agent. The bay colt is the first foal out of the unraced Wavering Monarch mare Act So Noble, who is a half-sister to the dam of stakes winner Cold Water (Seattle Sleet) and the dam of stakes-placed Lady Offense (Lee's Badger). The Kentucky-bred youngster RNA'ed for $25,000 at the 2007 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July Yearling Sale. At last Friday's under tack show, Cruisinforabruisen worked an eighth-mile in :10 1/5. Hip 1211, a filly by freshman sire Friends Lake, sold for $300,000 to Linda Rice, agent. Consigned by Eisaman Equine, agent, the chestnut lass is the second foal out of Trix City (Carson City), a daughter of stakes winner Always Nettie (Vice Regent). Her third dam, stakes winner Hail to Boldness (Bold Reason), also produced multiple stakes winner Galliari (Lypheor [GB]), stakes-placed Sultry Boldness (Sultry Song), and Hail Ho Silver (Silver Deputy), the dam of stakes winner Skeleton Crew (Elusive Quality). She previously sold for $22,000 at last year's Keeneland September Yearling Sale. At the under tack preview, the filly worked a quarter-mile in :21 1/5. On Thursday, 189 horses sold for $5,107,400, a decrease of 10.4 percent compared to the same session last year when 175 horses realized $5,700,900. The average price fell 17 percent, from $32,577 to $27,023. Overall for the four-day sale, 772 horses sold for $22,578,000, a slight decrease compared to 2007 when 786 horses changed hands for $22,698,400.
