A son of Stormy Atlantic was sold to Just for Fun Stables for $80,000 to lead
the way at Friday's session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale. Consigned
by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent, the gray colt sported Hip No. 3919.
The March 17 Kentucky-bred is out of the Holy Bull mare Emptythetill, making
him a half-brother to Legends Racing's unraced juvenile Conveyance (Indian
Charlie), who worked a half-mile in a bullet :46 4/5 for Bob Baffert last
Saturday at Santa Anita. His third dam is Grade 2 heroine Silent Account
(Private Account), who produced unbeaten multiple stakes winner and sire Gold
Case (Forty Niner). Silent Account is herself a full sister to
Arlington-Washington Futurity (G1) victor Secret Hello and stakes-winning stakes
producer By Your Leave. This is also the family of the 2008 Blue Grass S. (G1) hero, Monba (Maria's Mon).
Hip 3799, a filly from the first crop of Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1) winner
Silver Train (Old Trieste), brought $45,000 to rank as the day's top lass. The
February 25 chestnut was purchased by Marette Farrell from the consignment of
Select Sales, agent. The Kentucky-bred is a half-sister to four stakes-placed
performers, including Grade 1-placed Magical Illusion (Pulpit), Grade 2-placed
Lily O'Gold (Slew O' Gold) and multiple Grade 3-placed Shah Jehan (Mr.
Prospector). They were all produced by Grade 3 queen Voodoo Lily (Baldski).
