Grade 1 queen COCOA BEACH (Chi) (Doneraile Court) covered five furlongs in :59 2/5 for trainer Saeed bin Suroor in advance of Friday's Ladies' Classic (G1). The dark bay five-year-old, who was last seen running third to champion Zenyatta (Street Cry [Ire]) in the Lady's Secret S. (G1), was clocked in splits of :12 2/5; :25, :37 1/5 and :48 2/5 before galloping out six furlongs in 1:13.

Prix Jean Prat (Fr-G1) scorer LORD SHANAKILL (Speightstown) traveled three-quarters in 1:11 4/5, clocking splits of :36 and :59 3/5, for next Saturday's Turf Sprint.

Spinaway S. (G1) runner-up BEAUTICIAN (Dehere), fifth in the Alcibiades S. (G1) last out, worked four furlongs in :49 2/5 for trainer Kenny McPeek in advance of the Juvenile Fillies (G1).

McPeek also sent out undefeated Jessamine S. victress HOUSE OF GRACE (Limehouse) to breeze five furlongs in 1:02 4/5. The bay lass is gearing up for the Juvenile Fillies Turf.

SMART SEATTLE (Smart Strike), a nose second in the Jessamine S. and runner-up in the P. G. Johnson S. in her last two, logged a half-mile in :48 4/5. The Graham Motion trainee was clocked in fractions of :24 4/5, :37 and :48 4/5, and galloped out five furlongs in 1:01 2/5.

Fellow Graham trainee and Alcibiades fourth ZILVA (Successful Appeal) also posted four panels in :48 4/5. Both fillies are entered in the Juvenile Fillies Turf, though Zilva is reportedly likely to opt for the Juvenile Fillies.

Recent Summer S. (Can-G3) hero BRIDGETOWN (Speightstown) breezed five furlongs in 1:02 4/5 for the Juvenile Turf (G2).

Phoenix S. (G3) hero FATAL BULLET (Red Bullet), second in last year's Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1), traveled five-eighths in :59 1/5 for Reade Baker in advance of another try in the six-furlong test on the same day.

Grade 1 winner SQUARE EDDIE (Smart Strike) negotiated six furlongs in 1:13 2/5 for Doug O'Neill. The three-year-old colt was sixth in the Ancient Title (G1) in his return off a six-month break last out, and is pre-entered in the Turf Sprint and Sprint, with preference given to the first race.

Multiple Grade 2 winner EVITA ARGENTINA (Candy Ride [Arg]) prepared for the Filly & Mare Sprint (G1) by going six furlongs in 1:11 2/5, the second quickest of 20 at the distance, for trainer John Sadler. A two-length scorer of the A Gleam H. (G2) two back, the chestnut sophomore was caught in fractions of :12 2/5, :24 2/5, :35 4/5, :47 3/5 and :59 2/5.

Evita Argentina's stablemate, Grade 3 victor GET FUNKY (Straight Man), got the bullet for six furlongs in 1:10 3/5 as he prepares for a possible engagement in the Turf Sprint. The six-year-old, who is on the also-eligible list for the about 6 1/2-furlong test, was second in the Morvich H. (G3) for the second straight year last out.

Multiple stakes winner DANCING IN SILKS (Black Minnaloushe), a nose victor of the California Cup Sprint H. most recently, negotiated five panels in 1:00 2/5 for the Sprint. The Carla Gaines charge has a second preference listed for the Turf Sprint.

California Cup Juvenile Fillies winner LA NEZ (Storm Creek), third by just a length in the Darley Debutante (G1) two back, went five panels in 1:01 4/5 for conditioner Eric Kruljac. Runner-up in the California Thoroughbred Breeders' Association in only her second career start while still a maiden, the dark bay posted fractions of :12 4/5, :25 2/5, :37 3/5 and :50 3/5 ahead of the Juvenile Fillies Turf.

Grade 3-placed NEKO BAY (Giant's Causeway) covered a second-best-of-72 five furlongs in :59 for trainer John Shirreffs. Winner of an allowance on October 9 over the Pro-Ride, the six-year-old is on the also-eligible list for the Dirt Mile (G1) and posted fractions of :24 and :35.

On Santa Anita's firm turf, four-time Grade 1 heroine MAGICAL FANTASY (Diesis [GB]) logged five-eighths under regular rider Alex Solis in 1:00 4/5. The Paddy Gallagher charge, winner of the Yellow Ribbon S. (G1), John C. Mabee S. (G1) and Gamely S. (G1) in her last three, went in splits of :13, :24 4/5 and :36 3/5 in advance of the Filly & Mare Turf (G1).

P. G. Johnson S. heroine TAPITSFLY (Tapit) negotiated five grassy furlongs under Aaron Gryder in 1:00 3/5 for Dale Romans. The gray lass, who is pointing for the Juvenile Fillies Turf, was caught in splits of :12 1/5, :24 1/5 and :36 1/5.

Ack Ack H. (G3) scorer NOBLE COURT (Doneraile Court) went five-eighths on the green in 1:00 1/5 for Sadler, getting fractions of :13 2/5, :25 3/5, :37 4/5 and :49 3/5. The bay five-year-old is expected to show up in the Turf Sprint.
