Duo blaze quarters in :21 at OBS under tack A colt by More Than Ready and a filly by Even the Score worked quarters in :21 to post the fastest works at the distance during Friday's first session of the Under Tack Show for the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's 2013 June Sale of Two-Year-Olds and Horses of Racing Age. IMPRECISION, consigned by de Meric Sales, agent, as Hip No. 53, was the first to get the time. The dark bay is a colt by More Than Ready out of the stakes-placed No Lullaby (Brahms), who is a half-sister to multiple Grade 3 heroine Elusive Diva (Elusive Quality). Hip 82, consigned by Southern Chase Farm Inc. (Greg and Karen Dodd), agent, blitzed the same quarter-mile time. The dark bay filly by Even the Score is out of Pata Fresca (Indian Charlie), who is a half-sister to the dam of stakes winner Calleybluebayou (Judge T C). Six horses shared honors for the session's fastest eighth, each stopping the timer in :10. Hip 38, from the Wavertree Stables Inc. (Ciaran Dunne), agent, consignment, was the first to burn up the track. The dark bay Kentucky-bred colt is by Successful Appeal and out of Mrs. Greeley (Mr. Greeley), making him a full brother to Grade 3 winner and 2005 Kentucky Derby runner-up Closing Argument. Not long after, Hip 42 was caught in the same time for an eighth. The dark bay Ready's Image colt is out of Music Miss (Prospector's Music) and counts as half-siblings the stakes-placed duo Sheza Runaway Star and Best Air, who are both by Pride of Burkaan. He was consigned by Rod McVey, agent. Hip 97, a gray filly by Mizzen Mast from the Potrero Stables, agent, consignment, turned an eighth in :10. The Kentucky-bred miss is out of Pink Moon (Exploit), a half-sister to Grade 2 victress Broad Dynamite (Broad Brush). This female line also includes Breeders' Cup Sprint queen Very Subtle (Hoist the Silver). A well-bred bay filly by Empire Maker duplicated the quick performance for consignor Eisaman Equine, agent. Hip 131 is out of Regala di Trieste (Old Trieste), who holds the distinction of being a half-sister to fellow Empire Maker-sired Pioneerof the Nile, a multiple Grade-1 winning millionaire who ran second in the 2009 Kentucky Derby. STORM VIPER, consigned as Hip 158 by Hoppel's Horse & Cattle Co., was next to get an eighth in :10. The bay colt is by Stormy Atlantic out of Satin Sash (Silver Deputy), who is a half-sister to Canadian champion Leonnatus Anteas (Stormy Atlantic). Storm Viper's female family also includes 2000 Preakness winner Red Bullet as well as English champion Noalcoholic and Italian champion Alea (Galivanter). A Wavertree consignee began the blazing fast works and another, Hip 176, concluded those going a eighth in :10 on Friday. The bay colt by First Samurai is out of Shoo In (Dynaformer), who is a half-sister to stakes winners Promise of War (Lord at War) and Baldwin County (Prized) as well as the dam of Grade 2-placed multiple stakes victor Britt's Jules and Grade 1 runner-up Social Probation, who are both by Jules. STRICTLY TWO STEP, consigned as Hip 230 by Potrero Stables, agent, worked the session's fastest three-eighths, getting the distance in :33 3/5. The dark bay colt is by Two Step Salsa and out of Strict Forum (Open Forum), who is a half-sister to stakes winner Avid Skier (Appealing Skier).
