Afleet Alex, Graeme Hall fillies get fastest quarters at final OBS under tack Fillies by Afleet Alex and Graeme Hall breezed quarters in :20 4/5 to post the fastest works at the distance during Sunday's third and final session of the Under Tack Show for the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's 2013 June Sale of Two-Year-Olds and Horses of Racing Age. Hip No. 618, a bay daughter of Afleet Alex consigned by de Meric Sales, agent, was the first to record the time.. The Kentucky-bred filly is out of I'm From Dixie (Dixieland Band), who is a half-sister to Grade 2 winner Sweet Vendetta as well as stakes heroines Half Heaven (Regal Classic), Love Cove (Not for Love) and Doll Baby (Citidancer). Hip 681 followed with the same time. Consigned by Blue River Bloodstock, agent, the gray filly by Graeme Hall is out of Look to the Stars (Slew Gin Fizz), who is a half-sister to Grade 2 victor Isitingood (Crusader Sword). The session's fastest three-eighths by a two-year-old was caught when Hip 544, a bay filly by Dixie Union, posted a time of :33. Consigned by Woodford Thoroughbreds, agent, she's out of Ford Gallop (Victory Gallop), who is a full sister to Grade 2 diva Victory U. S. A. This is the same female family as dual champion Ashado (Saint Ballado). Twelve two-year-olds worked eighths in :10, the session's fastest at the distance. Hip 502, consigned by Southern Chase Farm Inc. (Greg & Karen Dodd), agent, is a dark bay filly by Grand Slam out of Emerald Coast (Forestry), who is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Tipically Irish (Metfield). Hip 510, consigned by Everett, agent, is a bay filly by Bernstein out of Essential Fear (Pivotal), herself a half-sister to Group 2 victor Duff (Spinning World).
