Indian Blessing faces five in Test Champion juvenile filly INDIAN BLESSING (Indian Charlie) will seek her second consecutive Grade 1 event sprinting when she heads to the starting gate in Saturday's $250,000 Test S. (G1) at Saratoga. Trained by Bob Baffert, the dark bay lass opened her career with five straight wins, including the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) and Frizette S. (G1), before suffering her first setback with a second-place effort to eventual Kentucky Oaks (G1) heroine Proud Spell (Proud Citizen) in the Fair Grounds Oaks (G2). Indian Blessing received a freshening after the Fair Grounds Oaks and returned to the races with a runner-up finish in the one-mile Acorn S. (G1) on the Belmont S. (G1) undercard. Cutting back to six furlongs in her next start, the July 5 Prioress S. (G1), the Kentucky-bred filly rolled to an impressive 5 1/4-length tally. John Velazquez, who picked up the mount in the Prioress last time, will return to the saddle on Saturday, and Indian Blessing figures to be a prohibitive choice over her five rivals. "She has been a blessing," Baffert said. "Around the barn she's a real sweetheart, but when she gets on the track she has that competitive edge." TEQUILAS DAYJUR (Dayjur) faces a serious class check, but the dark bay miss will bring solid form into the seven-furlong Test. After posting two good-looking scores at Churchill Downs this spring, the Dean Hayes colorbearer turned in a commendable effort in the seven-furlong Chicago H. (G3) last time out, taking the lead into the stretch before being caught late by the older, Grade 2-winning Leah's Secret (Tiger Ridge). Edgar Prado will pick up the mount. PALANKA CITY (Carson City) will bring a three-race win skein into the race, including a 5 1/2-length score in the Miss Preakness S. (G3) most recently, and she'll make her first start for trainer Barclay Tagg. The Bill Mott-trained J Z WARRIOR (Harlan's Holiday) exits a four-length victory in the Dearly Precious S. at Monmouth Park. The $80,000 Flanders S. will be offered on the undercard, and a pair of juvenile stakes winners at the Spa highlight the six-furlong event for three-year-old fillies. IRISH SMOKE (Smoke Glacken), a scintillating 3 1/4-length victress in last year's Spinaway S. (G1), will be seeking her first victory at three in her third start of the season for trainer Richard Dutrow, and Adirondack S. (G2) winner MORE HAPPY (Vindication), who was last seen finishing fifth in the Spinaway, will make her sophomore debut for Baffert.
