Ask the Moon puts in move for Ladies' Classic
Irion, a former jockey and trainer originally from Collinsville, Illinois, has been overseeing five horses at Keeneland for Wolfson, marking the first time the south Florida trainer has had a string here. The stable also includes recent acquisition Ann of the Dance. Farnsworth Farms (now owned by Myron and Robert Miller) purchased Ann of the Dance, a two-year-old daughter of English Channel, after she finished ninth in the Grade 1 Alcibiades Stakes on October 7. Ann of the Dance is being pointed at the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf. "She's doing extremely well," Irion said. "She is just doing everything perfect. Marty is very excited to get her onto the turf because (she is by turf champion) English Channel and her mother (Dans La Ville) is a Grade 2 winner on turf. That's exactly why he bought her. He feels she's going to improve a lot on the turf." Ann of the Dance is scheduled to work over the Polytrack on Thursday at roughly 7:30 or 8 a.m. (EDT). Irion said the two Breeders' Cup hopefuls would relocate to Churchill after the weekend.
