Race of the Day 2006 Winner Jamie Cruz

Rain and an overcast day could not keep Mark Stillmock and his daughter from enjoying an amazing two afternoons of racing as the winner of 1the Brisnet.com Race of the Day Online Handicapping Contest. Mark joined Brisnet last year and has quickly become a fan of a few products that he uses in his handicapping methods. They enjoyed a weekend that included a hotel room on the beach, car rental and air-fare. Mark also found time for his daughter to enjoy some shopping and fine dining in the scenic Asbury Park.

"First, I was totally shocked that I won. I really enjoy playing the Brisnet Race of the Day as it helps me keep my hand in as I am not able to go to the OTB or track that often. I knew there was a chance to win, but to actually have it happen was unbelievable. Winning this trip has allowed my daughter and I to have one of those special lifetime moments.

"I prepared for the two days of the Breeders' Cup by downloading the ALL-Ways data files and Timeform ratings from Brisnet. From the ALL-Ways data files I also printed out the Brisnet Ultimate Past Performances with comments at no additional charge. I like using the ALL-Ways program as it helps arrange all the racing data in excellent formats and it provides some special insights that most racing fans would find difficult to find.

"Our trip started out early Friday morning on the 26th of October. Once there, we fought our way through the rain and found our seats in the grandstand right on the finish line. We were right in the middle of a group of dedicated racing fans that get together for the major horse racing events from New Jersey, Canada, Boston and Virginia. Like all ways, the people at that track helped these special days even more special.

"Monmouth was packed the second day even considering the somewhat inclement weather. The racing was again spectacular with the best horses in the world running their best. The Classic was just that, a Classic. Hard Spun taking the expected early lead with Curlin and Street Sense both making moves coming out of the final turn. Then watching Hard Spun and Curlin battle it out down the stretch in an epic battle will be one of those special moments we will remember for the rest of our lives.

"We would like to thank [BRIS employee] Jon Fowler and Brisnet for running the Race of the Day and the excellent way he planned and assisted us in making our trip to Monmouth Park a memorable one."
