Partly cloudy skies for Breeders' Cup
Partly cloudy skies for Breeders' Cup
Speed undoubtedly ruled on the main track at Lone Star
Thursday night as of the eight sprints run over the course of the
evening, seven of them were won by horses on or near the lead
with four eventual winners taking the field from gate to wire.
There was only one route race on the card and it too was won by a
runner near the lead at the first call of the race.
There were two turf races on the evening. Both of them were
routes and they were won by horses coming from off the pace.
The weather forecast for Grand Prairie, Texas, calls for isolated
thunderstorms Friday afternoon with a high in the low 80s. The
chance of thunderstorms continues through the night with a forecast
low in the mid- to lower 60s.
As for the big day itself, look for partly cloudy skies with a
high in the upper 70s.
