The catalog for the William Inglis Great Southern Sale can now be found
online at the company’s website at www.inglis.com.au. A total of 900 horses are
set to go under the hammer during the mixed sale, which runs May 15-16 and May
19-20, including 400 weanlings, 423 broodmares and a smattering of horses of
racing age.
“The Victorian industry is coming along in leaps and bounds and this
collection of horses certainly reflects that,” William Inglis Director Peter
Heagney said. “We are pleased to once again be offering a high class catalogue
for our Great Southern Sale.”
Last year’s weanling section was topped by the sale of a colt by Flying Spur
for A$240,000. He was later resold in New Zealand as a yearling for NZ$850,000.
