American Pharoah gets time to 'chill' back in California
One day after owner/breeder Ahmed Zayat intimated that
American Pharoah (Pioneerof the Nile) might have run his last race in defeat
in the Travers (G1), Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert said Sunday that plans
have yet to be determined.
"We'll just get him back there (California) and let him chill for a little bit,"
Baffert said. "He needs to
chill.
"We'll just play it by ear. Ahmed Zayat, it's his horse. My job is if I see
something, if he were to come up with something I didn't like, then I'd tell
him. Nothing has shown up today. We're glad that he looked fine and he's
healthy. I didn't see any problem there."

winner's performance at the Spa, please follow the link to the TwinSpires blog.
