Private Zone brushes off Forego foes

Last updated: 8/29/15 7:23 PM

Private Zone (Macho Uno) set all the fractions and coasted home a 3
3/4-length winner of Saturday’s $700,000 Forego (G1) at Saratoga. Under Martin
Pedroza, the 8-5 favorite scored in a time of 1:21.08 for seven furlongs and
received an automatic berth for the
Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1).

Trainer Jorge Navarro said afterward that rather than pursue a third
consecutive win in next month’s Vosburgh (G1) at Belmont Park, Private Zone
would likely train up to the Breeders’ Cup at Keeneland.
