Press Release
The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame will be embarking on a beautification and renovation project of its popular inner courtyard that is expected to be unveiled in the spring of 2018. To help fund the project and honor the rich history of Thoroughbred racing in North America, the Museum is offering commemorative bricks for purchase and engraving that will become permanent fixtures of the re-imagined space.
The personalized bricks will be offered in two sizes: 4” x 8” red bricks for $100 and 8” x 8” grey bricks for $250. The red bricks feature three lines of engraving at a maximum of 18 characters per line, including spaces and punctuation, while the grey bricks contain six lines with a maximum of 18 characters per line, including spaces and punctuation.
Home to the iconic John Skeaping bronze statue of Hall of Fame member and Triple Crown winner Secretariat, which was gifted to the Museum by the late Paul Mellon, the Museum’s courtyard is one of the institution’s most admired and visited spaces.
Bricks can be customized to honor a family member, favorite horse, jockey, trainer, farm, racing partnership or business, etc. To see conceptual samples or to place your order, please visit www.racingmuseum.org/buy-brick. For additional information or to order by phone, please call (518) 584-0400 ext. 109.
Courtyard bricks will be on sale through December of 2017 or until all space is reserved.
