As expected, Always Dreaming was installed as the morning-line favorite at 4-5 odds when the posts were drawn for Preakness Stakes 142. The Todd Pletcher trainee will break from the 4 stall with regular rider John Velazquez in the saddle.
Champion Classic Empire, fourth in the Kentucky Derby and the 3-1 second choice in the 10-strong Preakness field, will exit from just outside of Always Dreaming in post 5.
Lookin at Lee, runner-up in the Kentucky Derby last out, was assigned the 9 post and 10-1 odds, while fellow Steve Asmussen trainee Hence, who finished 11th in the Run for the Roses, will break from post 3 with a 20-1 morning line.
Gunnevera drew stall 6 and was given a 15-1 morning line after his Derby seventh-place run.
Multiplier and Cloud Computing, neither of whom competed in the Kentucky Derby, have the respective rail and 2 post at 30-1 and 12-1. Fellow newcomers Term of Art, post 7, and Senior Investment, post 8, were both assigned 30-1 odds on the morning line.
Conquest Mo Money, yet another new shooter in Preakness 142, will break from the far outside post 10 at 15-1 odds.
