| STAKES. 1 1/4 Mile Dirt. Purse $750,000. Jockey Club Gold Cup S. (Grade 1). FOR THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD. By invitation only with no subscription fees. The purse to be divided 60% to the winner, 20% to second, 10% to third, 5% to fourth, 3% to fifth and 2% divided equally among the remaining finishers. Weight for age. Three year olds, 122 lbs., older, 126 lbs. The New York Racing Association will select a field of (14) invitees by Saturday, September 13. The owner and/or trainer of these (14) selected horses will be required to notify NYRA of their intentions to participate in the Jockey Club Gold Cup no later than Saturday, September 20. A list of alternates will be published on Sunday, September 21. The New York Racing Association will present a Gold Cup to the winning owner and trophies to the winning trainer and jockey.
