Conditions: 5 FURLONGS STAKES. Kentucky Breeders' Cup S. (Grade III). FOR TWO-YEAR-OLDS. By subscription of $150 each on or before April 8, 2006 or by Supplementary Nomination of $7,500 at time of entry. $750 to pass the entry box; $750 additional to start, with $100,000 added and an additional $50,000 from the Breeders' Cup Fund for Cup nominees only. After payment of 1% of the host association's added monies to all owners of horses finishing sixth through last, 62% of the remaining purse shall be paid to the owner of the winner, 20% to second, 10% to third, 5% to fourth and 3% to fifth. Breeders' Cup Fund monies also correspondingly divided providing a Breeders' Cup nominee has finished first through fifth. Colts and geldings, 121 lbs.; Fillies, 118 lbs. Non-winners of a sweepstakes allowed 2 lbs.; a race other than maiden or claiming, 4 lbs.; a race other than claiming, 6 lbs. Starters to be named through the entry box at the usual time of closing. All suppplementary nominations are required to pay entry and starting fees if they participate. Trophy to winningowner given by Breeders' Cup Ltd. Closed Saturday, April 8, 2006 with 75 nominations.

DATRICK went up early to press SENTRY three or four wide, continued in that
manner into the stretch and was ridden hard to edge clear late. PRO PINK, four
wide early and around the turn, maneuvered six wide for the drive and was
gaining late. SENTRY bobbled at the start, gained the lead, held a narrow
advantage into the final furlong and weakened. NEREUS edged in a bit after the
break, followed the leaders five wide into the stretch, but gained only slightly
in the late going. BEAUTIFUL VENUE raced within easy striking distance along the
inside into the stretch and failed to rally. SEQUOIA KING attempted to wheel at
the start, lost all chance and passed tired foes. ERIN'S KRISTINA bobbled
sharply at the start when the ground appeared to break from beneath her, tracked
the pace four wide to the lane and tired. FORTUNATE ENVOY, steadied in a bit
tight after the start, raced three wide around the turn and failed to produce a
closing response. HOT FLAME raced in contention between foes three wide to the
stretch and tired. TEUFLESBERG lost his footing at the start and failed to
threaten. RINGSIDE PARTNER, a bit awkward at the start, was outrun and raced
wide. MISTYCAL LIGHT bobbled at the start,drifted in, moved inside on the turn
and never menaced.
