WITH A CITY well placed early, angled out four wide after six furlongs, made a
quick move to the leaders in upper stretch and drew clear under steady urging.
SEASIDE RETREAT four wide early when reserved, made a bold five wide move on the
second turn, challenged in upper stretch and held on for the place while not
able to stay with the winner late. MALAMEEZE sluggish at the start, was
unhurried for five furlongs, made a run five wide thereafter, reached a forward
position in upper stretch but lodged only a mild late bid. MORE THAN REGAL five
wide early when outrun, raced well back for six furlongs, came four wide into
the stretch and improved his position while no threat. SUPERFLY close up off the
inside, angled out for the second turn, advanced four wide after six furlongs,
drifted out entering the stretch when moving to challenge then tired.
HEMINGWAY'S KEY unhurried early, saved ground on the second turn when making a
mild gain on his own, steadied entering the stretch when blocked then was no
threat. PAIR OF KINGS outrun early three wide, was no threat. SHARP ATTACK
alternated for the lead off the inside, held on well to the stretch and tired.
TAHOE WARRIOR vied for the lead along the inside, held on well for six furlongs
and gave way. LAITY prompted the pace three wide, stayed on well to the stretch
and faded. SILENT TIMES (IRE) sluggish at the start, got a good position quickly
three wide, moved out to the four path on the second turn and faded.
STARSPANGLED GATOR within striking distance four wide, challenged before a half,
held on well for six furlongs and faded in the drive.
