WARRIOR then inched away and angled in nearing the first turn, set the pace along the inside, responded when that rival loomed into the second turn and drew clear again in the stretch under a brisk hand ride and a long hold late. POINT DETERMINED stalked the pace off the rail or outside a rival, fell back some into the second turn, came out into the stretch, could not threaten the winner but gained the place. A. P. WARRIOR stalked the winner inside then a bit off the rail, inched forward approaching the second turn, was no match for that rival in the stretch and was outfinished for second. SACRED LIGHT stumbled badly at the start, settled outside a rival then angled in on the first turn and saved ground chasing the pace, dropped back into and on the second turn and weakened.
