| Race Summary |
|---|
CHIN HIGH, outrun for five furlongs, raced near the inside, edged up between
foes nearing the stretch, came out bumping with TOMPEST when roused left handed
in the upper stretch, then continued under left handed urging to prevail while
attempting to lug in through the final furlong. LE PLAIX (FR), never far back,
advanced between foes into the stretch, was with the winner while inside that
one leaving the eighth pole and wasn't good enough. WHERETHEWESTBEGINS tracked
the pace four or five wide from early on, moved steadily to reach the front in
the upper stretch, then failed to sustain the needed momentum. UNBRIDLED
BEHAVIOR, outrun until nearing the final quarter, rallied six or seven wide into
the stretch, was prominent through the final furlong but failed to muster the
needed response. IN A FLASH (IRE), bumped after the start by DAWN OF WAR, went
up to gain a slight edge early while dueling outside of TO SENDER (GB), made the
pace into the upper stretch and tired. READILY, outrun to the stretch, offered a
mild gain. TOMPEST raced between rivals, edged up entering the upper stretch,
was bumped by the winner about the three sixteenths pole and flattened out. DAWN
OF WAR leaned in at the start bumping IN A FLASH (IRE), stalked the pace for
nearly six furlongs, weakened, and was steadied behind WHERETHEWESTBEGINS in the
final sixteenth when tiring. INDIAN HAWKE followed the leaders five wide, edged
in a bit on the far turn, then weakened soon after. TO SENDER (GB), a bit eager
when contesting the pace early from the inside, was finished after six furlongs.
