| Race Summary |
|---|
HALLOWED DREAM (IRE) brushed with DREAMS COME TRUE at the start but quickly
recovered and dropped into the rail while racing unhurried in midpack, moved
closer into the second turn then quickly circled her rivals four wide at the
quarter pole to be challenging for command once in the stretch, gained command
at the furlong pole and outfinished SKY DREAMS for the decision. SKY DREAMS was
never far back, set was sent after the leaders three wide and inside the winner
nearing the quarter pole, went gamely to the line but could make no impact.
DREAMS COME TRUE (FR) brushed with the winner at the start then lagged well back
in the early stages, commenced her bid from off the rail into the lane and
finished steadily without being a serious factor. STRONG FAITH raced unhurried
to the second turn, was fanned six wide while rallying into the lane and lost
much of her punch. ELEANOR ROSE broke alertly and steadily crossed over to the
inside into the first turn to set the pace, maintained an advantage to the head
of the lane and slackened. DREAM LADY was permitted to settle early while saving
ground, remained inside on the second turn to loom a bold factor at the head of
the lane but flattened out. MIDWIFE pressed the pace two wide for six furlongs
and weakened. MARLA BAY was forwardly placed three wide to the backstretch, was
forced five wide on the second turn and went evenly through the lane. SECRET
CORSAGE stalked the pace from the rail for six furlongs then did not respond.
PAPILLON ROUGE (CHI) hopped at the start to be off slow, lagged early and failed
to muster a rally.
