Stellar Wind early favorite in Kentucky Oaks
Trained by John Sadler, Stellar Wind captured the April 14 Santa Anita Oaks by 5 1/4 lengths. That effort was preceded by a 2 3/4-length score in the Santa Ysabel (G3), also at 1 1/16 miles. The co-second choices in the Oaks field are Condo Commando (Tiz Wonderful) and I'm a Chatterbox (Munnings), who were both pegged at 4-1. Condo Commando has captured both starts at Aqueduct this season, the Gazelle (G2) and Busher, and enjoyed a prominent freshman campaign that included blowout wins in the Frizette (G1) and Demoiselle (G2). I'm a Chatterbox is also undefeated this year, having swept Fair Grounds' trio of preps for the Kentucky Oaks. An eight-length score in the Silverbulletday were followed by 2 1/2-length wins in the Rachel Alexandra (G3) and Fair Grounds Oaks (G2). |

The lone also-eligible is Peace and War (War Front), upset winner of the Alcibiades (G1) at Keeneland in her juvenile finale but the trailer in the field of seven in the April 4 Ashland in her season debut.
