Barbecue Eddie paid $4.20 and $2.40 at 9-2 and was followed by Idiot Proof, worth $2.10 to show, Council Member (Seattle Slew) and Barber. Bushwacker (Outflanker) was withdrawn. With the New Year Day's win, In Summation improved his lifetime mark to 20-9-5-0, $815,166. The newly turned five-year-old captured the 2007 Bing Crosby H. The eight-time stakes star has also placed in three graded stakes. The winner was bred in the Sunshine State by Arthur I Appleton and produced from the winning Fiesta Baby (Dayjur), who is out of 1987 Coaching Club American Oaks (G1) and Mother Goose S.
