Maiden provides a Million Dollar Run in Railbird Everest Stables' homebred MILLION DOLLAR RUN (Tejano Run) took command at the head of the lane and strode home a 2 1/4-length winner of the $110,400 Railbird S. (G3) at Hollywood Park on Sunday. The Marcelo Polanco pupil broke well and tracked in second on the outside early under Joel Rosario, made her bid approaching the final turn and powered home with authority while clear throughout the lane. The final time for seven panels on the Cushion Track was 1:20.66, just .16 off the track record, and the 14-1 shot paid $31.40, $13.20 and $6. Tasha's Miracle (Harlan's Holiday) tracked along the rail to the top of the stretch and finished full of run while being the only one with a chance with the winner. The 9-2 runner-up finished 2 3/4 lengths clear of her nearest pursuer and was worth $6.40 and $3.60. The $1 exacta paid $96.50, and the $1 trifecta returned $426.80 with 6-5 choice Lethal Heat (Unusual Heat), who stumbled at the start, finishing a length clear in third. Sweet Hope (Lemon Drop Kid) capped the $2,032.60 superfecta ($1) (10-4-5-1) at 6-1 and was trailed by Magical Victory (Victory Gallop), Peisinoe (Yes It's True), Highland Torree (Menifee) and Homemade Brew (Milwaukee Brew). Lovely Isle (Double Honor) and P. S. U. Grad (Harlan's Holiday) were withdrawn after running in Saturday's Senorita S. (G3). Million Dollar Run improved her line to 2-1-1-0, $75,840. The chestnut finished second by a neck in her debut at Santa Anita on March 30. Bred in the Bluegrass State, Million Dollar Run was produced from the winning Six Zeroes (Hold for Gold) and has a two-year-old full brother named Gauntlet Run, as well as an unnamed yearling half-sister and unnamed 2008 half-sister, both by Pleasant Tap.
