Social Queen reigns in Eatontown Jayeff B Stables' SOCIAL QUEEN (Dynaformer) rallied from last beneath Jose Lezcano to take Saturday's $150,000 Eatontown H. (G3) by a measured neck. Making her graded stakes debut, the Alan Goldberg trainee rattled off 1 1/16 miles in 1:40 2/5 on Monmouth's firm turf. While an unhurried Social Queen was loping along near the back of the pack, Miracle Moment (Chester House) shot to the front and cruised through fractions of :23, :46 3/5 and 1:10 1/5. The pacesetter spurted away from 2-1 favorite Medley (GB) (Danehill Dancer) turning for home, but the closers were just beginning to arrive on the scene. Chestoria (Chester House) was the first to throw down the gauntlet, quickly followed by Social Queen wider out. Chestoria subdued the longtime leader and put her head in front between calls, but her bid for glory was doomed as Social Queen was reeling her in with every stride. Sent off as the 3-1 second choice, Social Queen returned $8, $4.20 and $3. The nearly 5-1 Chestoria gave back $5.60 and $3.40 for finishing 2 1/4 lengths clear of Miracle Moment, who furnished $5.40 to show at 12-1. The $1 exacta was worth $21.50, the $1 trifecta totaled $205.70, and with the 47-1 Czarina's Girl (Unbridled Jet) reporting home fourth, the 4-5-7-1 superfecta ($1) paid $1,694.50. Maddy's Heart (Lion Hearted), Medley, Montecito (GB) (Montjeu [Ire]) and Beatrix Kiddo (Fr) (Victory Note) completed the order under the wire. Social Queen has captured three stakes, all at the Oceanport, New Jersey, oval. Last August, the bay landed the Staybridge Suites S., and she made her 2008 bow a winning one in the Politely S. on Memorial Day. Her record now stands at 11-5-1-3, $236,880. Bred by James E. English and Hermitage Farm in Kentucky, Social Queen commanded $275,000 as a Keeneland September yearling. The four-year-old is the first foal from the stakes-winning Gal on the Go (Irgun), whose youngest offspring are an unnamed juvenile filly by Dixie Union, an unnamed yearling colt by Pleasantly Perfect and a 2008 colt by Tapit. This is the family of Grade 1 veteran and $4.6 million earner Perfect Drift (Dynaformer), most recently an encouraging fourth in the Shoemaker Mile (G1) in his nine-year-old debut.
