Augustin Stables' INFORMED DECISION (Monarchos) took command inside the final furlong and rolled home an impressive 4 1/4-length winner of the $300,000 Raven Run S. (G2) over the Polytrack at Keeneland on Saturday. The Jonathan Sheppard trainee broke well and tracked the early pace on the outside prior to putting in her best run when straightened for home. The sophomore lass easily picked up those in front of her en route to getting seven-eighths in a track record 1:20 4/5 under John Velazquez. The 6-5 favorite paid $4.40, $3 and $2.60 while keying the $18.60 exacta, $272.40 trifecta and $4,423.80 superfecta (3-10-9-7).

Secret Gypsy (Sea of Secrets), the 4-1 second choice, took command soon after the start and led the field through splits of :21 4/5, :44 1/5 and 1:08 1/5 for the opening six panels, and battled gamely to the wire to earn the runner-up spot, worth $4.20 and $3.80. Dubai Majesty (Essence of Dubai) tracked in second for much of the race and could not pass Secret Gypsy in the lane, finishing a neck back in third. The 29-1 shot paid $9 for the show. Valentine Fever (Stormin Fever) rallied from well out of it to cap the superfecta two lengths back and was trailed by Set Play (Van Nistelrooy), Golden Doc A (Unusual Heat), Extra Sexy Psychic (Freud), Dreaming of Liz (El Prado [Ire]), Spring Awakening (In Excess [Ire]), Rated Fiesty (Exchange Rate), Absolutely Cindy (Arch), Awesome I Am (Awesome Again) and Ride Em Cowgirl (Mazel Trick).

Informed Decision boosted her career earnings to $336,587 following this win, improving her mark to 7-5-0-1 in the process. The gray filly captured the Missile Belle S. in her latest effort, which followed a third in the Victory Ride S. (G3).

The winning miss was bred in the Bluegrass State by Charles Kidder and Nancy Cole, and attracted a bid of $320,000 at the 2007 Fasig-Tipton May Two-Year-Olds in Training sale after being a $150,000 Fasig-Tipton July yearling in 2006. She is out of the winning Palangana (His Majesty) and has an unnamed yearling half-sister by Zavata and an unnamed weanling half-sister by Champali. Palangana is herself a half-sister to Grade 2 victor Westheimer (Blushing Groom [Fr]), and this is the same family as Grade 3 heroine Meribel (Peaks and Valleys).
