Eastern tracks cancel in advance of storm Due to a winter storm forecast expected to bring high winds and snow, Aqueduct has canceled their live racing card for Wednesday. The facility will be closed and there will be no simulcasting. Live racing is expected to resume Thursday. The storm has also forced Laurel to cancel live racing for both Wednesday and Thursday. That brings to five the number of live days Laurel has lost this year. Racing was canceled the last two Saturdays, February 6 and January 30, as well as February 5. Laurel will double draw for the Saturday and Monday programs on Thursday. Beulah Park, in suburban Columbus, Ohio, has also announced that their programs for Tuesday and Wednesday have been canceled. Penn National and Charles Town also announced their respective Wednesday evening programs have been scrapped.
