Rock Fall takes Alfred Vanderbilt in a thriller
After a head-to-head duel in the final sixteenth, even-money favorite Rock
Fall (Speightstown) edged The Big Beast (Yes It's True) by a nose in Saturday's
$350,000
G. Vanderbilt H. (G1) at Saratoga.
The Stonestreet Stables charge, trained by Todd Pletcher, preceded this win
with a comfortable victory in the True North (G2) at Belmont Park, and has now
won six in a row dating back to May 2014. The four-year-old covered six furlongs
in 1:08.75 on a fast track.
