LARAGH (Tapit) worked five furlongs in 1:00 1/5 handily under exercise

rider Simon Harris on Sunday over the fast main track at Belmont Park in

preparation for

an expected start in next Saturday's Comely S. (G2) for

three-year-old fillies over one mile at Aqueduct. It was the fastest time of six workouts for that distance.

Winner of the Hollywood Starlet S. (G1) on December 13, Laragh will make her

2009 debut for trainer John Terranova II. The gray has won

three of six

starts with one third. She also captured the Jessamine S. on grass last fall and

was third in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1).

"We freshened her up after she ran in California -- she spent some time down in

Florida and we brought her home to New York about three weeks ago," said Tonja

Terranova, wife of trainer John Terranova. "She's been training great and

everything is

on target for Saturday."

Another expected Comely starter, DON'T FORGET GIL (Kafwain), worked four

furlongs over the Belmont main track in :47, the top-ranked of

nine

workouts for the distance. The Mark Hennig charge won the Florida Oaks (G3) at

Tampa Bay Downs by four lengths in her last start. She also owns a victory in

the East View S. over Aqueduct's inner dirt in December.
