Victorian Bushfire Appeal

Coolmore Australia's stallion nomination auction has already raised A$325,000

in registered bids in three days for the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal.

The current highest bids on the five Coolmore Australia residents are Encosta de

Lago (A$210,000), Fastnet Rock (A$60,500), Haradasun (A$32,000), Royal Academy

(A$16,500) and Spinning World (A$6,000).

"I can't thank people enough for their willingness to make a difference,"

said Michael Kirwan, Coolmore Australia's general manager. "We are getting

closer and closer to the $A400,000 barrier every day and that is both an

outstanding result and only possible thanks to the generosity of breeders across

the country. People are getting right behind this cause and that means there

will be more resources the Red Cross can provide for those victims of the

Victorian bushfires.

"I'm hoping that we can keep this momentum going. It is unfair to ask for

more support when so many have been so generous but I have no doubt that as an

industry we can keep this figure growing."
