With the sizzle in the ring matching the torrid sun outside, the Japan Racing
Horse Association Select Sale of yearlings and foals blazed to record levels in
gross, number of horses sold and clearance rate after the final hammer fell on
Tuesday's foal session.
For the second consecutive year, a colt foal by Japan's leading sire Deep
Impact out of 2002 American Horse of the Year Azeri (Jade Hunter) (Hip No. 403)
