Bletchley Park filly tops third session at Perth
A daughter of Bletchley Park topped Thursday's third session of the Magic
Millions Perth Yearling Sale at Belmont. The bay filly, produced by the
stakes-placed Haulpak mare Straight Answer, was knocked down to Perth bloodstock
agent John Chalmers for A$52,000. The day's topper was consigned by Ellie
Giles's Korilya Stud as Lot 442.
The nighttime sale proved popular as 68 yearlings grossed A$935,000 for an
average of A$13,750. A total of 23 horses failed to meet their reserve, equating
to an RNA rate of 25 percent.
"There were some really attractive yearlings sell for what looked (like) great
value prices (on Thursday)," Magic Millions Managing Director David Chester
said. "And there are dozens of lovely yearlings to go through the ring during
the final session (on Friday)."
