Blind Luck figures to heat up Keeneland January

Keeneland begins its 57th January Horses of All Ages Sale on Monday. A total

of 1,610 horses were cataloged to the sale, which runs through Thursday.

The January Sale catalog includes 605 broodmares, 135 racing or broodmare

prospects, 563 yearlings, 282 horses of racing age and 25 stallion prospects.

Numerous leading sires of 2014 are covering sires and/or are represented by

yearlings in the sale.

Offerings include Eclipse champion BLIND LUCK (Pollard's Vision); stakes

winner FOXY DANSEUR (Mr. Greeley), in foal to North America's record-setting

leading sire of 2014, Tapit; and UP, a Group 2-winning daughter of Galileo in

foal to the globally successful stallion War Front. Up's yearling filly by War

Front also is cataloged.

Broodmares in the catalog are in foal to a total of 168 stallions. In

addition to Tapit and War Front, sires include Animal Kingdom, Awesome Again,

Bernardini, Blame, Bodemeister, Candy Ride, Congrats, Curlin, Empire Maker, Into

Mischief, Lemon Drop Kid, Lookin at Lucky, More Than Ready, Orb, Pioneerof the

Nile, Point of Entry, Quality Road, Scat Daddy, Shanghai Bobby, Speightstown,

Street Cry, Tapizar, The Factor, To Honor and Serve, Trappe Shot, Uncle Mo,

Union Rags and Violence.
