RUNAWAY DANCER (Runaway Groom) earned his last score in the Sunset H. (G2) at

Hollywood Park in mid-July, but could return to the winner's circle on Sunday

while taking on nine rivals in the $100,000 Carleton F. Burke H. (G3) at Oak

Tree. The Dan Hendricks charge rallied from last to take the Sunset going this

race's 12 furlongs, and just ran out of room when trying to do the same in the

Del Mar H. (G2) two back, finishing second by three parts of a length. The gray

eight-year-old regressed a bit last out, never threatening in the Clement L.

Hirsch Turf Championship S. (G1), and could turn things around here. Alex Solis

has the call.

SPRING HOUSE (Chester House) was third in the Sunset and filled that same

spot in the Del Mar H. last out. The dark bay five-year-old has yet to win for

new trainer Julio Canani in three tries, but has finished in the top three each

time. He could continue to improve and challenge for it all with Garrett Gomez

getting a leg up on Sunday.

The lightly raced ISIPINGO (Horse Chestnut [SAf]) has come a long way since

breaking his maiden in May at Hollywood. The Craig Dollase trainee rallied for

third in the Del Mar Mile H. (G2) in his stakes debut, but didn't take to Bay

Meadows' grass when off-the-board in the Bay Meadows Breeders' Cup H. (G3) two

back. He showed much more when returning to Santa Anita's turf in the Hirsch

last out, missing second by just a neck to veteran Grade 1 winner The Tin Man

(Affirmed). He'll be tough to hold off in this one with Aaron Gryder returning

to the irons.

PORFIDO (Chi) (Mash One [Chi]) was a length back of Isipingo in the Hirsch

after two subpar efforts on the synthetic. The Bobby Frankel-trained

five-year-old has yet to score a win in the United States, but has been tough in

the gimmicks in major events. Joel Rosario has the return call. ONE OFF (GB)

(Barathea [Ire]) is returning off a six-month break, having last run fifth in

the San Juan Capistrano Invitational H. (G2). The bay gelding was a game

competitor earlier in the year and, if he returns in that same form, will

challenge in the top three.

RUSH RUSH's (More Than Ready) only stakes experience came as a fourth in the

Sunset, and the four-year-old gelding has captured his two starts since, both at

nine furlongs. He'll be facing the usual suspects in this one, and could add a

first black-type credit to his line under Michael Baze. ATLANDO (Ire) (Hernando [Fr]),

hero of the Cougar II H. two back, just missed by three parts of a length when

fifth in the Del Mar H. last out and is another who could grab part.

NIAGARA CAUSEWAY (Giant's Causeway) usually hasn't threatened against stakes

company in the past and we don't think he'll do so here. CARIBBEAN (GB)

(Sadler's Wells) might not be able to make up enough ground to challenge here.

REPUBLICAN HAWK (Peintre Celebre) took seven tries to break his maiden and was last in the

Hirsch most recently. We'll let him beat us.
