Churchill sees attendance, handle rise during fall meet

Churchill Downs on Monday reported increases in daily attendance, daily handle,

and total handle during its 21-day Fall Meet, which concluded Sunday. Daily

average handle showed the biggest gain, rising 25.6 percent to $4,982,238

compared to the 2014 Fall Meet.

In other news Monday at the blog:

Del Mar reported that daily average decline during their Bing Crosby fall

meeting, which also concluded Sunday. Business was more positive in South

Florida this fall, with Gulfstream Park West reporting a 19 percent increase in

daily handle for its 40-day meet.
