CITY TO CITY (City Zip) pulled off the half-length victory on Saturday while

making her graded bow in the $150,000

Providencia S. (G2) at Santa Anita. Trained by Jerry Hollendorfer and ridden

by Joel Rosario, the chestnut miss came out on the turn and five wide into the

stretch, rallied down the center of the lane and just got up to complete 1 1/8

As the 9-2 fourth pick, City to City was worth $11.60, $6 and $3.80 to her

supporters. Andina (Ire) (Singspiel [Ire]) gave back $5.60 and $3.40 at 4-1 for

holding 5-2 favorite In the Slips (More Than Ready) by a length to third. Show

paid $2.60 and it was another 2 1/4 lengths back to pacesetter Camille C (Roman Dancer),

who posted fractions of :23 2/5, :47 4/5, 1:11 3/5 and 1:35 2/5. The $1 exotics

totaled $26 (exacta), $79 (trifecta), $747.10 (2-5-6-9 superfecta).

Warren's Skater (Affirmative), Warren's Jitterbug (Affirmative), Cozi Rosie (Pleasantly Perfect), Antares World (Decarchy), Pulpit Magic (Pulpit)

and Hot Citizen (Proud Citizen) completed the order of finish.

City to City captured her initial try on the turf at Golden Gate Fields in

mid-January, then ran third in the grassy Sweet Life S. at Santa Anita. Prior to

this one, the chestnut three-year-old was a 1 1/2-length winner of the China

Doll S., and improved her line to 11-5-2-2, $193,054, with this score.

Bred in Kentucky by Dr. D. Michael Cavey Jr. and campaigned by William

DeBurgh, Hollendorfer and Mark DeCominico LLC, City to City sold to her current

connections for $50,000 as a Washington September yearling. She is out of the

winning Stormbow (Storm Cat), who has also produced an unnamed yearling colt by

Yonaguska.

This is the same family as dual Canadian champion Rainbow Connection (Halo),

herself the dam of multiple Canadian champion Rainbows for Life (Lyphard), Group

2 heroine Colour Chart (Mr. Prospector) and the unraced Barai (Blushing Groom

[Fr]). Colour Chart would go on in the breeding shed to produce champion

two-year-old filly and Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) queen Tempera (A.P.

Indy) as well as multiple Group 3 victor and Group 1-placed Equerry (St. Jovite).

Barari is responsible for multiple Grade 1 hero White Heart (GB) (Green Desert).
