Colt works in :34 3/5 at Fasig-Tipton under tack

show

FROLIC ON WINGS (Fusaichi Pegasus) recorded the only three-furlong workout at

Friday's under tack show for the Fasig-Tipton Calder Selected Two-Year-olds in

Training Sale at Calder Race Course in Miami. From the consignment of Peacock

Ridge, agent, the dark bay colt completed the move in :34 3/5. Out of the Grade

3-winning Lindsay Frolic (Mt. Livermore), the juvenile counts as half-siblings

Grade 2 winner Super Frolic (Pine Bluff) and multiple stakes scorer Stormy

Frolic (Summer Squall) as well as the multiple stakes-placed Lucky Frolic (Carson

City), Gallant Frolic (Broad Brush) and Frolic for Joy (Belong to Me). The

colt's second dam, Grade 2 winner Cherokee Frolic (Cherokee Fellow), also

produced Grade 3 winner Fabulous Frolic (Green Dancer), and this is the family

of Grade 2 queen Smok'n Frolic (Smoke Glacken).

Purchased for $180,000 at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale, Frolic on

Wings sports Hip No. 205.

T TEBAU (Trippi) sizzled two furlongs in :21 2/5 to lead all runners at that

distance. Consigned by Off the Hook, agent, T Tebeau previously sold for $95,000

as an OBS August yearling and will tour the ring this time around as Hip 63. Out of the winning Xtra

Emblem (Our Emblem), a half-sister to the stakes-placed I'll Prey for You (Tiger

Ridge), the bay's second dam is Nasty Sabina (Sabona), a full sister to 2002

Vosburgh S. (G1) winner Bonapaw. The juvenile's fourth dam is multiple

Grade 2 winner Luminaire (Al Hattab), a half-sister to Grade 2 winner Wistful (Maribeau).

Five two-year-olds posted one-furlong moves in :10 1/5. The first was Hip 66,

a dark bay filly by Dixie Union out of the Grade 3 winner Above Perfection (In

Excess [Ire]), who is consigned by Niall Brennan Stables, agent. Above Perfection is a

half-sister to multiple stakes winner Made to Perfection (Bolger) and descends

from the multiple stakes-placed producer Happening (Terrang). She was a $340,000

Fasig-Tipton Saratoga yearling last August.

Hip 125, a bay colt by Sky Mesa, is out of the multiple stakes-winning

Dancewiththebride (Belong to Me), a half-sister to the stakes-winning producers

Swift Alliance (Afleet) and Callmeanicepick (Anjiz) as well as the stakes-placed

White Ensign (Afleet), all produced from the Grade 3-placed Stately Bride (Tom

Rolfe). Consigned by McKathan Brothers, agent, the juvenile most recently sold

for $50,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearling Sale.

A bay filly by champion sprinter Speightstown will don Hip 137 as part of the

Hartley/DeRenzo Thoroughbreds, agent, consignment. Out of Grade 3 winner

England's Rose (Nureyev), herself out of the Grade 1-placed Infringe (Irish

River [Fr]), the Kentucky-bred was a $170,000 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July

yearling. This female family is responsible for Grade 1 winner Navarone (Irish

River [Fr]) as well as Group 1 victor and U.A.E. highweight State City (Carson City).

Hip 210, a dark bay colt by More Than Ready, is consigned by Sequel

Bloodstock (Becky Thomas), agent, and was a $90,000 yearling at Keeneland

September. Out of the unraced Love Sick (Salt Lake), the colt's third dam is the

stakes-winning Party Bonnet (The Axe II), who produced multiple Grade 2

winners Del Mar Dennis (Dixieland Band) and Forty Niner Days (Conquistador Cielo).

The colt descends from an old Greentree family that includes 1978 champion older

female Late Bloomer (Stage Door Johnny), the dam of Grade 1 winner Ends Well (Lyphard)

and Grade 2 hero Fred Astaire (Nijinsky II).

Also from the Sequel Bloodstock consignment is Hip 230, a dark bay filly by

Rahy out of the stakes-placed Mstoyou (El Baba). The California-bred is a

half-sister to Grade 3 winner Here's to You (Bertrando). Mstoyou, out of the

stakes-winning My Little Maggie (Tell), is herself a half-sister to Canadian

stakes winner Gotitall (Stalwart).

The one-day sale will be held Tuesday beginning at 10 a.m. (EST). For more
