An undersized field of five fillies and mares will head to the gate on Sunday

for the $100,000 Desert Stormer H. (G3) at Hollywood Park. ABOUNDING TRUTH

(Proudest Romeo) enters the six-furlong contest off a victory in the Prairie

Rose S. and could benefit from her front-running style. The five-year-old will

face mostly stalkers here and will be making her initial debut for trainer Julio

Canani. The chestnut has shown an affinity for the distance, making nine of her

10 career starts at the six furlongs, winning five of those. David Flores has

the call.

In PUXA SACO's (Dehere) last two starts at the Desert Stormer distance, the

five-year-old came up just short and seems to be more suited to longer

distances, winning only one contest at three-quarters of a mile in seven

attempts. In the Jenine Sahadi trainee's past four outings, she earned

increasing BRIS Speed figures, including a career best 103 when running a close

third in the Distaff H. (G1) at Churchill Downs. She seems to be prepared for

this one and regular jockey Mike Smith will ride.

RAMATUELLE (Chi) (Jeune Homme) suffered her first setback in the Yerba Buena

Breeders' Cup H. (G3) in her previous outing, her first trip for trainer John

Sadler. Although more accustomed to the turf, the five-year-old bay has two

trips on the main track under her belt, the first a three-length victory at

Santa Anita when the race was taken off the grass and the second coming in her

final start for conditioner Bruce Headley, a 1 1/4-length victory over that same

surface. She switches back to the dirt here and may improve while returning to a

sprint. Garret Gomez has the call.

TUCKED AWAY (Unusual Heat) hasn't had her picture taken in the winner's

circle since September of last year on the Del Mar green in the Solana Beach H.

She is unplaced in two starts at six furlongs, but her late speed could get her

in the bottom of the gimmicks for this one. QUICK COVER (Score Quick) fell

victim to a speed duel in her last appearance, eventually coming home seventh,

but her front-running style could be beneficial versus this field.
