J. Pletcher, P. Wetterman and J. Scaturchio's DUBLEO (Southern Halo) took

the lead turning for home and bravely held off a strong challenge from Tadreeb

(Theatrical [Ire]) en route to a tally in the $60,000

Dave Feldman S. at

Gulfstream Park on Sunday. The Todd Pletcher trainee sat in second early as Lord

Robyn (Robyn Dancer) led the field through brisk splits of :24 1/5, :46 2/5 and

1:09 for the initial six furlongs. As the pair turned for home, Dubleo put that

one away easily and continued on home beneath John Velazquez, completing the 1 1/16

firm turf miles in 1:40 3/5. The dark bay sophomore was favored at 8-5 and gave

back $5.40, $3.20 and $2.40 while topping $1 exotics of $8.10 (exacta), $26.20

(trifecta) and $125.70 (10-11-4-6 superfecta).

Tadreeb sat in fourth early, moved into contention turning for home and fell

just short at 5-2. The bay was good for $3.80 and $2.60. Crown Point (Honor

Grades) closed from off the pace to gain the show at 5-1, worth $3.20. Champagne

Brunch (Robyn Dancer) completed the superfecta at 29-1.

Lord Robyn was next and trailed by Win Me Over (Friendly Lover), Majestic J C

E (The Silver Move), Initially (Suave Prospect), Elusive Thunder (Thunder Gulch)

and Safely Run (Safely's Mark). Giant Wrecker (Giant's Causeway) and Cherokee

Chase (Rizzi) were withdrawn.

Dubleo moved his mark to 10-7-1-1 with earnings of $396,899. The colt

captured the Generous S. (G3) in his latest run, and previously annexed the

Summer S. (Can-G2), Continental Mile S. and Chenery S.

Bred in the Bluegrass State by Anzac LLC, the winner was purchased at the

2003 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July Yearling Sale for $90,000. He is the first

stakes winner produced from Secret Red (Secretariat), and has an unnamed

two-year-old half-sister by Storm Creek.
