E Dubai sires first winner

Multiple Grade 2 hero E DUBAI (Mr. Prospector) sent out his first winner on Monday when Barilko defeated maiden claiming

company in the 6TH race at Woodbine. Sent to the early lead, the two-year-old

colt widened his advantage under jockey Constant Montpellier, completing the five-furlong affair

in :57 4/5 over a fast track. The David Dwyer trainee returned $10, $5.80 and

$3.70 as the 4-1 third-favorite.

E Dubai raced 10 times over a three-year career. As a three-year-old in 2001,

he captured the Dwyer S. (G2) by 5 3/4 lengths and finished second in the

Travers S. (G1) to Horse of the Year Point Given. He also placed second in the

Super Derby (G1) and Peter Pan S. (G2). The next

year he went on to win the Suburban H. (G2). In all, the

bay colt posted a record of 10-4-3-0 with $800,800 in earnings.

Out of the multiple stakes-winning Lord at War (Arg) mare Words of War, he was purchased for $1.35 million at the 1999

Keeneland September Yearling Sale. The eight-year-old stands for $15,000 at Darley at Jonabell near

Lexington, Kentucky.
