Fantastic Light filly tops BBAG

Last updated: 10/18/07 7:41 PM

There was a distinct absence of fireworks during the first session of the

BBAG Autumn Mixed Sale, when the top-priced lot of the day was a yearling filly

by Fantastic Light.

Consigned by Gestut Romerhof, Hip No. 243 is a granddaughter of Chilean Group

1 winner Exactly Red (Roy) and was knocked down to Dirk Eisele of BBA Germany

for 30,000. Eisele also purchased Hip 51, a yearling filly by Next Desert from

the same draft. She hails from the family of this year's sensation Manduro (Ger)

and was secured with a bid of 22,000.

Richard Venn Bloodstock paid 29,000 for Gestut Auenquelle's Hip 269, the 2003

Preis der Winterfavoriten (Ger-G3) scorer GLAD LION (Dashing Blade).

Selling continues Friday after racing. Full results may be viewed at
