Flintshire scorches turf in Sword Dancer
Bet down to even-money favoritism as the class of the field, French invader
Flintshire (Dansili) turned Saturday's $1 million Sword Dancer (G1) into a rout,
and earned a berth in the Breeders' Cup Turf (G1). The Andre Fabre trainee
blew the race apart with a hedge-skimming move on the far turn and drew off by 2
1/2 lengths, speeding 1 1/2 miles on the firm inner turf in 2:23.77.
