Trainer Bobby Frankel reported Monday that Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) hero

GHOSTZAPPER (Awesome Again), who is up for Horse of the Year honors, could make

his five-year-old bow in the April 9 Oaklawn H. (G2). Frankel had originally

mentioned the Metropolitan Mile (G1) on May 30 at Belmont Park as a possible

return destination.

"He's galloping in Florida," Frankel said. "He probably won't run til maybe

April. It depends on when I get him ready. There's a good chance he might run at

Oaklawn Park."

Frankel has successfully targeted the Oaklawn race for his handicap stars the

past two seasons. Medaglia d'Oro captured the 2003 Oaklawn H. (G1) and Peace

Rules took last year's edition.

Ghostzapper won all four 2004 starts and owns an overall mark of 10-8-0-1

with $2,996,120 in earnings.
