The $400,000 Frizette S. (G1) kicks off the NTRA National Pick 4 on Saturday,

and the one-mile test is a wide-open affair with the top three morning-line

favorites all coming off maiden wins. MEADOW BREEZE (Meadowlake) prevailed in a

blanket photo to win the seven-furlong Matron S. (G1) over this surface in her

last start, but we're going to take a flyer with DINNER BREAK (Tale of the Cat),

who is listed at 15-1 on the morning line.

Trained by Mark Hennig, Dinner Break broke her maiden at first asking

sprinting on the turf at Saratoga. In her most recent start, she clipped heels

shortly after the start, then dropped backed to last in the early running of the

NATC Futurity at Monmouth Park. The dark bay advanced quickly on the turn while

circling the field before being fanned wide turning for home, then finished

deceptively well for third. Dinner Break figures to enjoy the added distance and

is an intriguing longshot.

ALLUDE (Orientate) broke quickly to establish a clear lead, then set the

pace without encouragement in her last start. She responded nicely when set down

turning for home and drew off under a hand ride, breaking her maiden by 5 3/4

lengths over this surface while running six furlongs in a snappy 1:09 3/5.

Allude is tactically drawn on the outside and is a primary contender.

LILLY CARSON (Carson City) broke quickly, set fast fractions, then ran on

well to the wire breaking her maiden by open lengths when unveiled at the Spa.

The chestnut has been training forwardly since then and figures to be a player

on the front end. Lilly Carson should offer playable odds.

Undefeated TICKET TO SEATTLE (Capote) has excellent early speed and kicked

clear when asked at the top of the stretch before defeating allowance foes by

three lengths at Delaware Park in her latest. At 8-1 on the morning line, the

Steve Klesaris pupil is a good sleeper.

The Todd Pletcher-trained AWESOME ASHLEY (Unbridled's Song) enjoyed a perfect

stalking trip in her last start, but she was put to a hard drive to hold off

19-1 Lost Etiquette (Lost Soldier) by a half-length. The gray, who is the

lukewarm 3-1 favorite on the morning line, appears to be a vulnerable underlay.

Meadow Breeze pressed the early pace before proving best by a head at 34-1 in

the Matron. She could regress off such a hard effort.

First-out winner TRUE ADDICTION (Yes It's True) closed well for runner-up

honors in the Adirondack Breeders' Cup S. (G2), but the race fell apart late

after brutal early fractions. In addition, she has had a sketchy work tab. SUTRA (Meadowlake) took the lead in midstretch before getting caught by

Lisa M (Banker's Gold), a 35-1 shot, in the sloppy Arlington-Washington Lassie

S. (G3). Like the Adirondack, the Lassie fell apart late after exceedingly fast

early fractions. As a result, Sutra may not be as good as her running line

indicates.

Undefeated Sorority S. winner OUR FANTENE (Touch Gold) figures to be an early

pace factor and can't be totally dismissed. She should offer double-digit odds.

ENCHANTING STAR (Service Stripe) broke her maiden last out in a good time at

Delaware and is

hard to gauge.
