Frosted impressive in popular Penn Derby victory

Last updated: 9/19/15 7:05 PM

In the absence of American Pharoah, to whom he has lost three times this season,

Frosted (Tapit) bounced back to his best form Saturday with a two-length victory

in the $1 million Pennsylvania Derby (G2) at Parx Racing.

A homebred racing for Godolphin, trained by Kiaran McLaughlin and ridden by

Joel Rosario, Frosted completed 1 1/8 miles over a fast track in 1:50.04 as the

even-money favorite. He now heads to the $5 million Breeders' Cup Classic (G1)

at Keeneland on October 31.
