Janis Whitham's MEA DOMINA (Dance Brightly) fulfilled her bettors'

expectations Monday in the $441,500

Gamely Breeders' Cup H. (G1) at Hollywood

Park when the four-year-old filly went gate to wire in the 1 1/8-mile firm turf

affair. The 2-1 co-favorite was able to jump to the early lead under jockey Tyler Baze and keep that spot while recording fractions of :23

1/5, :46 3/5, 1:09 4/5, 1:34 and 1:46 2/5 for conditioner Ronald McAnally.

Mea Domina's stablemate, Solar Echo (Spinning World) just missed, coming home a

half-length behind in second.

The coupled entry paid $6.60, $5.60 and $4 while Amorama (Fr) (Sri Pekan) hit

the wire a length back to end a $25.20 exacta ($1), paying $9.20 at 11-1. Uraib

(Ire) (Mark of Esteem [Ire]) was another length back to complete the $259.30

trifecta ($1) and Miss Terrible (Arg) (Numerous) a crossed the wire a

half-length further to round out the 1-3-8-5 superfecta ($1) which returned

$1,102.80.

Halo Ola (Arg) (Southern Halo), Nadeszhda (GB) (Nashwan), Island Fashion (Petionville)

and Flip Flop (Fr) (Zieten) completed the order of finish.

This was Mea Domina's third win in her past four attempts, and her first

graded stakes victory. With this win, she improved her line to 10-5-3-0 with

$472,676 in earnings. Bred in Kentucky by her owner, the bay filly is out of the

Grade 3 winning mare Madame Pandit (Wild Again). She counts herself as a

half-sister to an unnamed yearling colt by Smart Strike and a 2005 colt by

Pulpit.
